This 190x170cm barrel sauna is constructed from Japanese Cedar, selected for its dimensional stability and natural resistance to moisture and insects. The barrel shape facilitates efficient air circulation, reducing the time required to reach target temperatures compared to square designs of similar volume.
The structural panels utilize a tongue-and-groove joinery system. Assembly is reinforced with adjustable stainless steel bands, which maintain structural tension against wood expansion and contraction caused by heat cycles. Critically, all bonding employs a water-based, solvent-free adhesive. This formulation meets EN 204 D4 standards for high-humidity environments and compliance for formaldehyde emissions, ensuring stable indoor air quality during operation.
The unit is equipped with a new Harvia sauna heater. The heater's stone compartment is designed to hold an adequate volume of sauna stones, allowing for controlled steam generation. The integrated explosion-proof light fixture is rated for high-temperature environments, mitigating risks associated with thermal stress on standard glass.
